End of Life Care

Being sent home from the hospital, or a care home after receiving the news that there is nothing more that can be done for you or your loved one, is tough! It's not easy to comprehend and understand that you now have limited time with someone who is dear to you. Many families feel frightened, every moment feels even more special and every day feels like it's one you will cherish. 

Making a decision to request help at home can make people feel guilty.  It could make them feel like they are not coping or able to look after their loved ones. Or sometimes there can be family pressure and certain members of the family are expected to look after their loved one who is coming to the end of life, but they too have many other commitments of their own, therefore struggle to cope, find it stressful, emotional and exhausting.  We at Q Care Assist do not take the responsibility away from you, but are there to assist you so that you can spend more quality time with your loved one. We can help assist with care such as :

• toileting, 
• medication, 
• personal care,
• night watch, 
• understanding what to do if your loved one stops breathing,
