Elderly Care

There are lots of reasons people choose elderly care for themselves or their elderly relatives. Some have time to plan for the future when they know that they might need extra help around the home or getting out and about in the local community, but many tend to have elderly care after their health has declined, both themselves and their spouse need extra support after an illness or their regular caregiver, usually a family member, has realised that they are unable to provide the assistance that their loved one needs.

Elderly care may be needed for help with the housework and domestic duties around the home, including preparing meals, making the beds and keeping on top of the cleaning. Additionally, you may need support with washing and bathing, getting dressed and mobilising safely around your home and being aware of trip hazards. 

The great thing about home care is that everything can be altered and adapted to your preferences and health needs. For example, for one visit you may want to meet up with your friends at a local day centre or café and need someone to accompany you there safely, but for another visit you may just want to enjoy your garden and prefer to stay at home with the company of your carer.
